Course Aim

This course aims to prepare students to work in
the Energy Field by exposing them to the
fundamental concepts of energy sources,
energy generation, distribution, consumption
and optimisation. It also offers practical field
studies and laboratory work as well as 10 days
work experience.

Entry Requirements

Ordinary level Leaving Certificate/Leaving
Certificate Applied. Applications are welcome
from mature students or those with appropriate
work experience. All entry is subject to interview.

 

Progression/Employment

Students will acquire the skills necessary to take
up employment in such areas as water resource
management, park management, forestry,
fisheries, or agriculture. Students may also
progress to further study at Institutes of
Technology in a range of ecology areas.
