LEVEL 5 COMMUNITY AND HEALTH SERVICES AWARD (DCHSX) 1 YEAR

This course will enable the student to develop the knowledge and skills required to pursue higher education studies in nursing and related areas. Through Work Experience it will also provide an introduction to caring for a variety of clients in a range of care settings.

Entry Requirements

Ordinary Leaving Certificate/Leaving Certificate Applied. All applicants must have two references relevant to social care and are subject to individual and group interview. Applications are welcome from mature students with relevant experience.

 

Progression/Employment

Students will be eligible for employment in a wide range of care settings.

Students may be eligible to apply for courses, including Nursing to Third Level Colleges through the Higher Education Links Scheme.
