LEVEL 5 INFORMATION PROCESSING AWARD (BIPXX) ONE YEAR

This course is designed to ensure that students develop a high level of efficiency in Microsoft Office applications. The Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) qualification is part of the Microsoft Business Certification Series. MOS is a comprehensive, performance-based certification Programme approved by Microsoft to validate desktop computer skills using Microsoft Office 2003.

Students will train for and complete examinations in Excel at both Core and Expert level. They will also complete the Microsoft Outlook examination at Core level.

Entry Requirements

Students must have passed Online Foundation. Mature students are welcome to apply. All entry is subject to interview.

Progression/Employment Opportunities

A MOS Qualification gives both the job applicant
and the employer proof of their productivity and,
therefore, a head start in the competitive
markets for jobs and promotions.

Students can progress to become a MOS
Qualified Instructor if they have a recognized
Instructional or Training qualification. They can
also advance to the Microsoft Certified
Professional course in the College.
